Real algebraic geometry is a dynamic field studying real algebraic and semialgebraic varieties and their topological, geometric, statistical and combinatorial properties. Nowadays it extends from classical topics (such as topology of real algebraic varieties or the theory of nonnegative polynomials) to more recent developments and applications (such as random algebraic geometry and polynomial optimization). At this conference leading experts will come together to share recent results, discuss open questions and start new research directions. A particular focus of the event is to foster interactions among mathematicians with different perspectives on the subject.
